The ONOS® project’s mission is to work with the community to produce the Open Source Network Operating System that will enable network operators to build real Software Defined Networks (SDN) and accelerate SDN innovation and adoption. ONOS Project Membership is open to everyone who wants to contribute meaningfully to the project and benefit from open source ONOS and SDN. The ONOS project offers a tiered membership structure to enable a diversity of organizations as well as individuals to participate.
“Partners” are at the highest tier of membership and are strong advocates of the open source ONOS project to drive SDN adoption and innovation. They provide a significant portion of the funding to achieve the ONOS project’s mission. “Partner” membership is targeted at organizations that are industry thought leaders and committed to furthering Open Source ONOS project and SDN efforts. They have the most influence on the Board of Advisors and benefit the most from joint marketing activities.
“Collaborators” are organizations invited to join the ONOS project. They are typically non-profits, research and academic institutions that bring new ideas and add value to the ONOS project and its community. Learn more about becoming a collaborator.
The Open Source ONOS project is committed to ensuring that everyone can participate and influence the project. Individuals and other open source projects can become members and participate in the project without incurring any cost.
